Bottling From the Keg (Homebrewing)

A cheap, easy way to bottle from the keg. This is a rudimentary counterpressure bottle filler. What you need: Picnic Tap with 3/16" beverage line quick disconnect a bottling wand with the end removed a drilled stopper that will fit the type of bottle you're using 1. Assemble the picnic tap and shove the bottling wand in it. 2. Put the stopper on the bottling wand about 2/3 of the way up 3. Hook up to the keg 4. Dial down your pressure to about 3psi 5. Pump some beer through the filler to chill it down and get gas out of the tubing. 6. Begin filling bottles by inserting the wand and pushing the stopper down so it fits in the opening of the bottle. You want back pressure but not a full seal. Fiddle with the stopper to let some gas out. 7. Fill and cap!
